Stinkin’ famous for illustrating all those Decemberists album covers the kids go all crazy for, local artist Ellis created this ode to the dangers of romance for the September 30, 2004 edition of the Mercury (Vol. 5, No. 18). She’s also well regarded for illustrating the children’s adventure series Wildwood Chronicles—written by one Mr. Colin Meloy.
