A symptom of oppression is supporting oppression of others. Like all of the republican women and people living on the brink of poverty who are responsible for electing Trump. The only logic at work here is "I suffer, so others should suffer too". ¯(ツ)

The decline of unions is the most significant factor in the stagnation and decline in wages in the U.S. over the last several decades.

The Republicans long ago (read: Reagan) convinced us that Labor is a corrupt "special interest" exercising undue influence for a minority issue. The very idea that people wo work for a living are a special interest! I know, right?

As for the $30 hamburger argument, it's easily debunked by comparing the prices of a Big Mac in countries with different minimum wages for McDonalds employees. The cost of the product is essentially the same.

I am very proud of and pleased with the workers at Burgerville who have stepped up to unionize. One of the hard parts is convincing your fellow workers of the need, right? Go figure! However, I am less than proud and pleased with the young "socialists" who -- AFTER THE VICTORY WHICH THEY HAD NO HAND IN MAKING -- mobbed the scene, blocked the driveway, and took away this hard-fought victory for their own. See above -- many of the rank-and-file Bville workers did not want to be identified with YOU "socialists"!!! YOU are on site to fuck things up. Check out Venezuela's socialism and get back to me -- I think you'll find that all are starving; all lack light, heat, and potable water; all are subject to hyper inflation. Look it up. Is there a socialist model that works? PS -- why don't you mob and fragment the Republican party? THAT'S a set of privileged, gun-toting religious kooks who could use some "activism" to shake up the status quo.

You skimmed right over "Unions are socialists." The correct response to that argument is, "Calling something socialist is not a criticism, you ignorant fuck. Public schools are socialist. Social Security and Medicare are socialist. Interstate highways are socialist. But unions are not socialist, since they're not the government and they don't tax the general public and redistribute those taxes. So not only is that not a negative, it's not even true."
